Girl Scouting in VT Celebrates 95th Anniversary
This year the VT Girl Scouts celebrated
their 95th Anniversary and Tire Warehouse was proud to participate. Over 2,000
girls gathered at the Shelburne Museum in South Burlington.
" With the help of our sponsors, we were able to cover most of the expenses!
Consider yourselves to be part of a community collaborative success! We really
appreciate all your efforts." - Dannah Lapin Beauregard, Director of
Marketing and Development, GS council of VT.
Tire Warehouse has also been working with the Girl Scouts of VT on a program,
named by them, for the past few years. The "Greasy Girl Program" is a FREE car
care clinic put on at a local Tire Warehouse for members of the Girl Scouts. The
Clinic is designed for non-automotive drivers, and is given as a way to help new
and regular drivers keep their cars safer and running properly. The program has
had great success according to Carmel Quinn, Girl Scout coordinator. Below are 2
submitted comments:
Berlin:
"It was great! The girls had a good time, they asked lots of questions,
loved the pizza & soda. The staff (Erik) was
awesome!!! Even when the girls got off track (a lot of times)."
Rutland:
"It went very well. The guys were great.
Pizza was good. The gentleman who did the program, Jay, was good with the
girls, and seemed very at ease although he has only been at Tire Warehouse
for a short time."

2007 Tire Warehouse Race/Charity Fundraiser
Race: Busch Series New England 200 and Nextel Cup Lenox
Industrial Tools 300
Where: New Hampshire International Speedway
Tire Warehouse provided a couple of sets of tickets for the
Concord Suite at NHIS to each participating radio station. Stations were asked
to pick a local charity in their market and auction the tickets off on air. Not
only did this build public awareness for the charity, it also helped to raise
money for a charitable organization. The highest bidder won win the tickets and
a check was given to the charity
The tickets included: Busch Event Suite Seating on Saturday
with lunch, beverages, prizes, and behind the scenes information. Also as and
extra bonus one lucky winner from all the Busch Series winners was selected to
attend the Nextel Cup Race on Sunday in the suite with all the extras.
An air promotion during Charlie Sherman’s Morning show on
AM610 WGIR Radio aired in June.
Listeners were instructed to go to WGIR’s website to bid for the tickets with
all proceeds going to Easter Seals of New Hampshire. A minimum bid started at
$100. The highest bidder was Joseph Gahagan, pictured above. We received this
nice thank you from Mr. Gahagan.
“Mr. McGrath, My name is Joseph Gahagan, I attended the race
at the Suite with my son and my dad. My dad is the one that had the birthday and
my son is the one who won the tickets for Sunday’s race. My son and I are going
to make a framed picture board of the day’s events for my Dad. It was a special
event because it was the first time my dad had been to the track and to spend it
in the Suite was extra special. I just wanted to let you and your staff, owners
and associates…Thank you, Thank you, Thank you…for a very special day for the
three generations of my family. Your company’s generosity allowed me and my son
to make my dad’s birthday extra special. He can’t stop bragging about it. We
also had a great time at Sunday’s race as well. Again, I can’t say it enough,
Thank you.
Sincerely, Joseph Gahagan.”
